Let’s Write! Generative Zoom Event

Having trouble finding time to sit down and write this summer? Suffering from writer’s block? Want to write something new and get outside your writing comfort zone? Let’s write together! In this event, I’ll provide three sets of writing prompts. In each set, there will be a prompt for poetry, fiction, and creative nonfiction. We will write for approximately 30 minutes on each set of prompts. At the end, we will have an optional sharing time. You’ll leave with three new drafts!

What To Expect

  • Three sets of writing prompts, each set will including a prompt for poetry, fiction, and creative nonfiction. (9 prompts total).
  • Approximately 30 minutes to write for each set of prompts (cameras on or off, your choice.)
  • An optional sharing time at the end, in which you’ll have the opportunity to read your work to the group.

Bethany Jarmul is an Appalachian writer and poet.
